Senior Venture Developer
About the Role
As a Senior Venture Developer, you will operate as a venture lead in everything but name. You take full ownership of new ventures or critical workstreams — from opportunity identification and market validation to early execution and scale readiness.
You are expected to think independently, challenge weak logic (including from leadership), and move fast without waiting for permission. This role offers significant autonomy and influence, but also demands maturity, resilience, and a strong bias toward real-world outcomes over theory.
If you prefer clearly defined tasks, extensive alignment rounds, or risk-free decision-making, this role will not be a good fit.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead venture development initiatives end-to-end, from idea to early traction
• Identify high-potential opportunities and quickly assess their viability
• Personally drive market validation: customer interviews, partner discussions, pricing tests
• Design and execute experiments to de-risk business models and go-to-market strategies
• Build and pressure-test business cases, unit economics, and growth assumptions
• Make and defend decisions under uncertainty; adapt quickly when signals change
• Take ownership beyond your job description to ensure venture success
• Mentor and spar with more junior venture developers when relevant
• Act as a bridge between strategy and execution — ensuring ideas actually land
What We Offer
• A senior, high-ownership role with real influence on venture outcomes
• Exposure to venture building at founder and investor level
• Significant autonomy paired with trust and responsibility
• Steep learning curve across multiple industries and business models
• Close collaboration with experienced entrepreneurs and decision-makers
• Competitive compensation reflecting seniority and impact
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in venture building, startups, consulting, entrepreneurship, or equivalent high-responsibility roles
- Proven ability to take ambiguous problems and turn them into executable plans
- Strong market instinct and willingness to engage directly with customers and partners
- Track record of owning initiatives end-to-end, not just contributing
- High level of independent thinking and sound judgment under uncertainty
- Comfort making decisions with incomplete data and standing by them
- Strong communication skills — clear, direct, and outcome-oriented
- Leadership mindset, including the ability to challenge, guide, and elevate others
Additional Information
This is a demanding role designed for people who want real responsibility and are comfortable being accountable for outcomes — not just inputs. It is close to a founder experience without the safety net of a single venture.
If you’re looking to build, decide, and lead — this role is for you.
